MINUTES
September 15 2011
Members present – Annie Hallen, Roxanne Mirch, Sharon Fife, Bonnie Schlott, Lisa Latkowski, Joan Glase, Scott Haberli
The meeting was called to order at 5:40 with the Pledge of Allegiance
The minutes of the August 2011 meeting were read. Joan made a motion to approve, 2nd by Roxanne and carried
Financial Report – The financial report was read. There is $1437.26 in the bank. Priscilla made a motion to approve the financial report, 2nd by Joan and carried.
Communications – None
Clothing Drive – Clothes were picked up. The amount is $690.26.
First Day of School – The welcome back banner was hung. The first day of school was cancelled and there was a delay the 2nd day. It was a wash out.
Annie was at the 7th grade orientation. The bulldog was there and she passed out pencils.
Penny Social – The date will be Nov 19th. The Lk Huntington Fire Dept doesn’t have tables. We will try the Youth Center. Bonnie has left a message, waiting for a call back. Annie has a garage full of stuff that has been donated already. We could use someplace to store donations. Sharon is going to contact Bob Head to see if he will donate a unit at his self-storage for a couple of months. We want a flyer to go out with the report cards 11/10/11
Wreath Sale - Angela Daley will to run it again this year. She would like some help this year. We will run contest again. Top 3 sellers get Dawgmart dollars.
Meet the Teacher – Bonnie and Priscilla had a table for membership and sign up.
Picture Day – 9/29/11 Roxanne is going to call for another person. She has it under control.
Homecoming - The football game is scheduled for Friday 10/14. Bill Moloney will have alumni program at half time. The king and queen will be crowned before the game. PTSO will supply the crowns, sashes and flowers. There will be a Powder puff game on Sat 10/15 with proceeds to benefit a breast cancer organization. After the game will be activities night in the school 8-10:30. There will be music, open gym, food in hall, movie in the auditorium. The 7th & 8th grade dance will be from 8-10 the same night. PTSO will supply refreshements (heroes, drinks, chips, baked goods)
We need a membership mailing.
