PTSO Minutes
March 2, 2011
Meeting Called to Order at 6:35
Members present, Scott Haberli, Priscilla McAndrews, Joan Glase, Bonnie Schlott
The Feb minutes were read and approved – Scott made a motion, Priscilla seconded
Financial Report – There was no financial report.
Communications – Thank you from Gabriel Pinciotti, Shoes for America fundraiser information, Letter from Mrs. Tenbus regarding scholarships
Book Fair - Roxanne has all her volunteers. It will be set up in the library.
Flag contest - March 31st is the deadline. Scott will ask the art teachers for submissions
BLT - There haven’t been any meetings since the last PTSO meeting.
After Prom event - We have already put $500 into our budget for this. We would be willing to donate more if it is needed.
Wooden rose fundraiser - Bonnie has tried to contact the vendor a number of times and does not get a response. She will keep trying.
Scholarship committee - We should establish a committee at the April meeting. Bonnie will contact Mrs. Parkinson to let her know the PTSO will do the same scholarships as last year.
Senior flowers - Bonnie asked Scott if the coaches are aware that we voted to donate towards the purchase of flowers for senior recognition as we didn’t have any requests from winter sports. He said he would check on it.
Clothing Drive - This was tabled until next month, Annie was not at the meeting.
Dr. Bracken asked if she could sell the remaining uniforms out of the store for $2 or $3 a piece. She wants to make an event of it. We agreed since we had already voted to dispose of the rest of the uniforms that she can sell them if she wants to.
Scott said Deb Molusky who is the PR person at the school requested personalized table clothes for events. Bonnie said she would check into pricing for the next meeting.
Discount cards – Joan said she would check with the elementary PTSO to see if they will be selling the cards again this year. Perhaps we can piggyback off of them.
Priscilla made a motion to adjourn at 7:03, Scott seconded. The next meeting is April 6th @ 6:30.
