PTSO MINUTES
January 5  2011


Meeting called to order at 6:30

Members in attendance – Priscilla Andrewski, Scott Haberli, Annie Hallen, Joan Glase, Cathleen Breen, Lisa Latkowski, Bonnie Schlott

Reading of the Minutes – The minutes were approved with the following addition,  Lisa Latkowski and Cathleen Breen were in attendance at the December meeting.  Scott made a motion to approve with the correction and Cathleen seconded.


Financial Report – The balance as of 12/31/10 is $5064.00.   A copy of Roxanne’s email is attached.   Priscilla made a motion to approve the financial report and Joan seconded


Communications –
We received information on wooden roses, a fundraiser for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.  Bonnie will get more information on roses for Mother’s Day.
We received a brochure on an optical fundraiser.  Annie will get more information.
   

Old Business –
    Book Fair – No discussion

Banners – Flags  The banners are up and look wonderful.  Scott has gotten a lot of positive feedback on them.  The Custodian’s installed the banners on the poles.  We purchased 6 banners with hardware at a cost of $1286.13

Flag contest – We are still accepting entries, the deadline is March 31st. 

BLT – An alternate schedule was presented to the staff.  If the January regents are eliminated there will no longer be blocked scheduling and the schedule presented would most likely be adopted.

Pie Sale  11/23 at Sports Awards – There was no report

Wreath Sales – Gross amount sold $2495 less sales tax $190.15 less the cost of the wreaths $1200 equals a profit of $1104.85.  Thank you to Angela Daley for a great job!  The winners of the sale contest, grand prize for the top seller was Kyle Welsh, he received a $25 gift certificate to the Dawg Mart.  Erice Leewe and Andrew Holbert both sold more than 5 wreaths and received a $5 gift certificate to the Dawg Mart.
   
Meet the Graduate 1/11/11 7pm  - Scott will get the refreshments

Curriculum Night 1/27/11 5–8pm  - We will have membership forms.  Annie will get refreshments and have the poster board there.  Joan and Priscilla will be at the table also.


New Business –
Gabriel Pinciotti will be attending the Junior national Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC in the Spring.  He made a presentation requesting a donation towards his trip.  Scott is going to inquire to find out how many Sullivan West students were invited so we can make a decision on an amount to donate.   His deadline is 2/25/11.
Priscilla discussed trying to have a Battle of the Bands in March of 2012   

Scott made motion to adjorn the meeting at 7:42, Priscilla seconded.
