Members present – Annie Hallen, Roxanne Mirch, Cathleen Breen, Bonnie Schlott
The meeting was called to order at 6:40 with the Pledge of Allegiance
The minutes of the June 2011 meeting were read. Roxanne made a motion to approve, 2nd by Cathleen and carried
Financial Report – The financial report was read. There is $1075.31 in the bank. Bonnie made a motion to approve the financial report, 2nd by Cathleen and carried.
Communications – There was a thank you letter from Alex Manzi. He was a scholarship recipient.
Flag contest – Gabe Pinciotti was the winner of the flag contest. The BOE approved the design. One of the art teachers is working on the final artwork. We will need to order a large flag for the school and a small flag for the contest winner
Clothing Drive – There is no pick up date set yet
Wooden Rose funraiser – The net profit is $126. There are 15 bouquets left over. They will be used for the fundraiser next year or may be broken up to use as senior flowers.
Scholarships- 42 students were nominated this year. The winners were Alex Manzi, Devon Schneider and McKenzie Norris. It was suggested that we rename the scholarship
First Day of School – Annie is going to get balloons, has pencils and will dress in the Bulldog costume. The custodians will hang the welcome back banner
August 29th is 7th grade orientation. Annie is going to set up a table for memberships and information.
Penny Social – The date will be Nov 19th. Annie is still working on getting the Lake Huntington Fire House.
Wreath Sale - We want to run the wreath sale again. Annie is going to check with Angela Daley to see if she wants to run it again this year.
